Freaktopia’s roots date back to a Grateful Dead lot in the year 1977, when Mikio and Phil Brown met their mentor Ed Donohue while traveling the country with the band. Their magical combination of tie dye and psychedelic prints continues to this day.

All of our garments are hand dyed by Phil Brown, hand silkscreened by Mikio and our collaborations are hand made by Freaktopia family artisans in upstate New York.

We have searched for the best materials available, and work closely with our mom and pop cut and sew team in California to produce our pieces.

Our goal is to share our art, to inspire and to pass on the integrity of a high quality dye and print tradition to coming generations.
